  • hey greg ... Kramer

Music yo Kramers are excellent guitars in my opinion.

    I have a Baretta FR404S/D and a Striker FR400.

The are not like Kramers of old really.

The Baretta feels alot like my Model 6, alot like it.. same neck, same body to neck flow, a true neck-through guitar.

The Striker is a very thin, lightweight cool little fretburner.

Both guitars are excellent buys, both guitars are competitive with Import Jacksons in some ways. ( I find the Kramer trem to be better)

They are certainly a much better deal and a excellent alternative for any low-mid end ESP/LTD

Fretwork is great, no probs. I don't like the pups, but some people do.

The guitars are not up to Jacksons standards in terms of QC and fit/finish, and are set-up horribly- ie: Korea

But, these guitars can be amazing players once you put some work into them.

I have no regrets with mine.

Steve, here's a tip.. it worked for me.

A while ago they sent an offer for $30.00 off of international shipping. As they normally offer free U.S only

Regester on the site as a user.

Then send an email to customer service.

Mention that you wanted to take up the offer for $30.00 off international shipping, but the guitar you wanted wasn't in stock. Now it is in but your coupon has expired. Ask them for a new code.

Send that in an email, I did and only paid $10.00 shipping to Canada.

        Worth a shot..

              Re: hey greg ... Kramer

2Loud2Old summed it up pretty much. I think the neck-thru guitars are fantastic guitars for the money. The bolt-on's are pretty decent, comparable to most the other higher priced bolt-ons out there. I'm just not real big on the little thin bodies of the Strikers.

I'm one who loves the Kramer Quad-Rails. They are very low end crunchy EMG-81-like pickups.

I've found the finish on the guitars to be excellent but the setup as delivered isn't the greatest. If you can spend 30 minutes on a new Baretta doing a setup, you'll have a guitar every bit as good as a Japanese SL-3. Actually, I think the trem is better on the Kramer.

So, does this trick still work? I am really willing to buy one of those Barettas, but shipping to Spain is nearly $100!!
