I think its a cool guitar. sorry i accidently hit enter while typing the post. I think ill need to edit that. Whats wrong with it. I still love Jackson. it retails for $1600. this is the other guitars section is it not? Is it wrong to play or buy other companies stuff?

Jezuz you coulda had a custom GMW with maple board for that - probably a Custom Shop Dinky from Jackson.
Given ESP's marketing tactics and the fact they are stealing all of Jackson's big names, I'd argue that one should avoid ESP so they lose money and go out of business and the artists have to go back to Jackson [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
But that's just my sick and twisted opinion [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

thats retail. Itll sell for like $1000 or so maybe a littl more. I think its cool. Well guess you have spoken. No ESP for me. Just got save more for either blue ghost flame soloist or a king v with silver sparkle and black bevels. good looking out Newc.

The original ESP MII were very nice guitars.

Overpriced( as usual), but decent players.

However the re-issues seem to be a pale imitation of days gone by.

Coupled with the fact that they are IMHO in the top 5 overpriced guitars, I'd make sure you were completely happy with the axe.

The MII was/is ESP's answer to Charvel in my mind.

I mean you HAVE played one, right? I've had some experience and in my mind they're no better than a Model series Charvel.

If you think a "set-neck" makes a difference, well...... [img]graemlins/eyes.gif[/img]

It's not that it's a bad guitar, its a pretty good guitar.. it's just not as good as it's price tag suggests.

Personaly the only ESP's I ever found worth the $$$ had "Kramer" on the headstock. [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I just really like the guitar. I havent played one because they were discontinued before i got the chance. For some reason I have a fishy feeling about it. It seems really cool but there is just something I dont quite trust about it. If I had the money Id probably sit down think which i would want more, a USA Jackson soloist or king v or a Japanese rip off of other brands. I really want one but think in the end I wouldnt be able to buy anything that doesnt have Jackson on the headstock. and Newc I wasnt being sarcastic. You really did change my mind.

I never liked ESP. Especially there signature models. Overpriced for sure IMHO. It is probably one of the few popular brands that I am not fond of. You could get much better bang for the buck with a Jackson or even a GMW for that matter. I could never see paying that much for an import. A portion of that inflated cost that you are willing to pay funds all the endorsement deals that ESP "gives away". Since we are on the "other guitars" section let me mention that you could get a smokin custom shop Carvin for that kind of money and you could pick out every single option yourself. [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

alright yall talked me out of it. Now I need some more cash to fund my Jackson need. Either a King V or a Soloist. but first I need to sell a guitar and then save a few hundred more. King V or Soloist?

I really think you should at least give the ESP a try. I have a few and they do kick butt. Sure they are pricey sometimes but every single one I have bought has been worth the cash.
