heh... can't get enough of them!

top and head will be trans sapphire, the back will be a dark walnut. hardware is gold TOM, one gold vol knob, gold pickup ring, zebra black/creme JB. i may put a duncan custom in there, tho.

I'm no fan of Firebird's but I have to say that one looks like it is going to be sweet as all hell. Nice work Sully. The figuring in that top looks great. Please keep us updated as you get closer to completion.

cool do u do the finishes or do u send it out. looks real nice, V string thru?... i was gonna say one piece badass bridges look real cool on firebirds. BTW did u make the body if not what kind is it.

thanks guys! to answer a few questions, i do have a finish person, so i'm kinda sending it out, but not to gmw.

the body is both made in USA and handmade; definitely not from one of the large companies you can get bodies from.

and as far as inlays goes, eh, who needs em? [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] there's side dot markers, so good times, i say.

I was having a 2 hum reverse firebird body w/ floyd, 1 vol, 1 tone, 1 mini switch down by the volume/tone for pickup selector. Was going to put 2 seth lovers in it mounted directly to the body and do a red/white bullseye. But the body and the shop it was being built in got torn up in a Kansas tornado. Want to make another one?

Hey Sully if you ever do want to get into inlays give me a shout. I have a great source that will custom cut inlays for you or just sell the blank material. They are very reasonably priced, do great work and are just some of the most helpful guys out there where inlays are concerned. I just got some gorgous Paua Abablone from them for my Beast project that GMW is doing.
