moving the parts around a bit...

sitting here thinking about what neck I should mate to what body. I have an original (well, except for the pickup) '86 baretta, an allparts strathead maple neck and a later-model soloist-style kramer body. And I just realized that a strat-head neck might look out of place on a soloist style body. But the '86 neck would be pretty close to being accurate with the body I have while the strat-head neck wouldn't look all bad on the '86 body...

What are your views on the subject of moving parts around, basically turning an original into a mutt?
