What is the deal w/Ed Roman??

Hey everybody: [img]graemlins/help.gif[/img]

I have read a lot of negative stuff about Ed Roman and Roman's Guitars etc. and was just wondering why. Since I am a semi-new guy here, would like to hear your thoughts.

On the website he has, most of his stuff seems kinda pricey and not really a good selection.

He also pushes his own in house brand, basically that they are the be all-end all for guitars, dissing everything else...including Anderson, Jackson etc. [img]images/icons/mad.gif[/img]

Funny note...on the BC Rich website forum, RonZ called him Osama Bin Roman....too funny....I can actually see him in a turban, and saying "Excuse me, would you like a Slurpee and a Slim Jim with your BC Rich?". LOL..... [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Well...I called his Las Vegas showroom once and he answered the phone. I asked about a Y2KV replica that he has and he wanted $1500!!!! $1500 for a f*cking replica! He was also grumpy and I noticed he has an attitude problem. I wouldnt buy any kinda of sh*t from him.

he builds replicas of all your favorite guitars puts them on the rack but doesnt tell anyone. those guitars u wont see any where else because he made or modded them.

a friend bought a custom gunslinger from him in like 90ish, graphic, straight hum, diamond inlays, as he's leaving hes asked how would u like a $250 refund. he wanted to keep the neck plate with the serial# to put it on another parts guitar.

I've had problems with Ed Roman in the past, but for some reason, I called his Vegas store last week to check on something I thought was interesting. It turned out that it wasn't really what I was looking for and I gave a polite "No thanks", but he charged my damn credit card anyway! Run far, run fast from Ed Roman people.
