• Got a new Fender Strat yesterday.

No big deal, just another MIM Standard Strat with a small twist. DiMarzio HS 2 in the bridge, 500K volume pot, locking tuners and a nut job. I added 2 more springs to bring it up to five. I traded my Ibanez RG370DX for it. Damn good trade IMO. The HS 2 is a staked humbucker that keeps the single coil sound with a little extra output and some added beef that I have always wanted in the bridge. The stock middle and neck singles sound good as is so they stay where they are at. Next week the LSR roller nut goes in. Yet another hotrod in my collection. It has a very nice sunburst finish and there is alot of figuring in the body and even some birdseye on the back. I didn't know alder had birdseye? The neck has alot of flame in it and plays great. I'm only buying keepers now and this is one of them. As soon as I can get some pics up I will post them.

Sweet! I've got a Japan strat myself, and even though it's set-up with 10's, has high action and a 7.25" radius fingerboard, it plays like buttah!

Fenders are the best guitars for blues, i love mine!

I thought Strats had a 9-10 Radius Board? Jack.

Yeah, the new ones do. Mine is a '68 reissue, and back then, Fenders had 7.25" radius fingerboards.

DUDE if the LSR roller nut is the same as Fender used on its high end guitars a few years back DONT get one. they wont accept a 49 or bigger & they always seemed to rattle & buzz.
