Check out some of these recordings to hear Tony Levin play it. He has been using it for along time now..........

Re: The Stick
At the Philly show a few months ago, the guy next to us was a guy named Steve Adelson, who was demoing the "Sticks". He was incredible! He made it look so effortless. It was amazing how he was laying down slap bass lines along with fluid guitar parts all at once.

Re: The Stick
The stick is awsome....how the heck does he play it like that ? Is it really easier than it seems ?
Here's my idea after my 5 minutes wathing the stick -it seems easy to build one yourself, easier than a guitar anyway ....1600$ is to much but i gotta have one

Re: The Stick
How come you don't need to pick the strings ? From what I've seen in that video the closest thing regarding guitars that pops in my mind is this: playing with the left hand and tapping with the right hand...the major difference is that he doesn't pick the strings....and all notes sound full....how can he do that ?any idea what pickups he uses ? Re: The Stick
I know a few players who have sticks. They are both fantastic extremely accomplished guitar players who can do it all. It took both of them around 2-3 years to actually ba able to get through a few entire songs so that it sounds pro. Bottom line.... The Stick is really cool and I have to believe that it is extremely hard to master. Piano players would have the edge for sure because of the 2 hand tapping and fingering positions.

Re: The Stick
I thought so....but how can every note sound full if they only tap the strings ? I supose it is a very good pickup...or ? And how can you play rhythm on those ? From what i see you can only pick 1 or 2 (if you use both hands) strings at a time. Please explain this to me if you know. I really like the idea and i want to experiment with it, but since i don't even master my guitar - i will not invest 1600$ on one so i might try to build a stick, seems easy. The biggest problem is that i was searching the internet a few hours without luck to find those pickups for sale - any place where i can buy them or something simillar ? Any idea for the price of one and a set of strings ?
Anyone that can help me with this details please do so ! Thanks !
