The access is probably much better than you think looking at it. I have a Peavey Vortex Rhoads knockoff with a very similar cutout. It's only 22 frets, but I have no trouble reaching a G that would be the 27th fret if the board went that far, sounding it off the bridgeward end of the neck pickup. I even have good enough leverage to bend it except the Peavey Invader pickup copies don't let you bend!
And yeah, my Peavey looks like ass,
but it plays and sounds pretty good for what it is (a $95 guitar). It has a decent Kahler Pro on it and the
Invader knockoffs actually sound PFG.
I'm sure those ESPs have better access than it does, which is my man point. It's accessible enough, so they should be also.
