Many thanks to our own JCF brother MANYAXES, I scored a late 90's NJ Series BC Rich Warlock with the pointy headstock. I believe this one has an alder body. Looks great and these pickups are pretty hot for stock ones. They will be yanked soon and EMG's will go in their place. I don't have a pic yet. As soon as I get to that I will post a group pic of all my axes. Need some info on this though. It's made in Korea so it has to be a late 90's model just before they made all of their Warlocks with Widow HS and smoke chrome hardware. It's slightly neck heavy, but manageable. It's kinda like playing a Strat so my tennis elbow doesn't get agrivated. I'm very happy to have it. Thanks again MANYAXES.

...........Oh yeah..........many thanks to Chris Guitars. He's a great guy to deal with and was very sensitive to my need for a pre-chesswood NJ Warlock. Chris Rocks........

Re: Got my BC Rich NJ Series Warlock today.....
Your very welcome my friend, anything for a brother! I'm very good friends with Chris and he has just about everything you could want that's why I direct people to him. Plus I know his site better than he does! As for the year, the guy I got it from said he bought it in like 99 or 2000. Therefore I believe it should be the better wood. I bought it strictly to trade in but I set it up quick and it played pretty good and it was so clean and unplayed I almost kept it! I ended up putting towards my 11th USA Jackson! I hope you enjoy it and if you need anything else just hollar.......Ray.

jon, give the stock pickups a chance; i picked up one of those crappy bronze warlocks a few years ago ( i was feelin nostalgic for the one i had when i was a kid) and i swear, the pickups in that guitar were hotter than a urinary tract infection.

True about the stocks pups Sully. I'm one of those guys who got bit by the hotrod bug. I've never owned a set of EMG's and this is one of the axes that's going on stage with me. I noticed that the stock pups are pretty crispy and have good harmonics. I've been pinching all night! Sounds like Kill Em All Metallica alot. Crunchy. Compared to the newer NJ Series Warlocks this one shreds light years better than those. Around here in small town New Mexico this axe will make a statement. I've been after one of these pointy headstocked Warlocks since 1999. All I can say is.............
