I thought EV had a natural maple head on that one? But then, what do I know?

Looks good I'd like to see side-by-sides with the "real things"

This is the best i could do NEWC.. The main difference is Ed's 21 fret neck which was PrePro specs. Notice the vintage trem in the second pic and no locking nut.

Also, keep in mind that Ed's guitar seen many changes thru the years.
He added a Floyd, striped the headstock, then completely sanded the headstock, had a chrome floyd, a gold floyd and about a million different pickups..

The second pic is from the photo shoot for the second VH record and rumor has it the paint had JUST dried before this pic was taken!

My neck on the other hand is a holy grail(22 fretter Charvel strat head-Employee project)

Ok, cool.
'Course, in the second pic, the end of the fretboard is rounded, not square

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Because it is a 21fret neck.

pretty damn cool.....tho how good of a fit was the Jackson body & the Charvel neck. Ive gotten rid of a few strathead necks because i just cant find bodies that fit properly without shims. I still have one that I will go to the grave with if i cant find a body.

Re: A couple weekend projects-FINALLY!

The neck is a dead nuts-on fit. No shims.

If i didn't tell you that wasn't the original neck and it it didn't have a Charvel logo, you wouldn't know it wasn't the original.

Interestingly enough, the body is maple. It's heavy as hell and I was told that Ed's also was maple!-BONUS

She plays like a motha and it "ALMOST" breaks my heart I have to get rid of it. Oh Well..

Nice job Chuck! I thought I read somewhere that Eddie's had an ash body though? I can't remember...

Your intonation's screwed on the EVH...

That's the only gripe I can find! Nice jobs!

I feel sorta silly for asking this, but why will his intonation be bad?
