Who owns a Roscoe? I "HAD" that Traci Lords guitar originally and I heard that there are a bunch more KILLER graphics with XXX porn and Lesbians as the theme.
Keith Roscoe confirmed this and it just so happened that I bought the Lords guitar from a dealer who had it stored in the back since 1987! When I started to show interest in 80's shred guitars he showed me the Lords Roscoe.
He also had a bag full of pics that Roscoe had sent to him full of different graphics. Some of them were just unbelieveable yet i have never seen a Roscoe "PORN" guitar show up again since the Lords guitar.

As a matter of fact, I have only seen two other Roscoe graphics from the 80's. ( I am proud owner of another myself)

Who else has seen a Roscoe or currently owns one?

C'mon.. give em up..

Re: Roscoe

A buddy of mine, here in the South of England has some that he's accumulated over the past few years. If I remember correctly, they're all Strat-types with 1hum/1single pickups and Kahler Floyd copies.
One's a blue transparent over flame maple with rosewood board. There are two with graphics and maple boards. One of those has a portrait of a girl (Isabella Rossolini?), and the other has a cartoon picture of an Eddie-like skeleton character riding a skateboard!
I don't hear from him very often, 'cos he lives way out "in the sticks" but next time I do, I'll see if he has any pictures.

Re: Roscoe

Years ago, the shop I used to work at carried Roscoe guitars. Along the time of 93-94, Keith Roscoe discontinued making guitars to focus just on Basses. If I remember right Roman bought all remaining stock of Painted bodies and they ended up on his sight as paintjobs he said he did.
I had a Roscoe for a little while. Slimline L.P. body, yellow flametop, Kahler spyder, 24 fret reverse stock....... Pretty killer

I have 3 Roscoes, but unfortunately none with the 'girl' graphics. These guitars are great, I rate them up there with my USA Jacksons & Charvels and USA Robins. click this link and go to the bottom of the page and you can see one of my Roscoes http://www.m22rocks.com/

I remember going to the NAMM show '90 and '91 and seeing the Roscoe booth. They had about 30 or so guitars on display, and about 80% of them had the 'porn' graphics. I took some pictures of the display at the time, but don't remember where I put those photos.

You are right, those porn graphics were unbelieveable, no one's done any better before or since! Maybe these aren't showing up as everyone that bought one is still hiding it from their wife/girlfriend!

I found a pic of my old Roscoe.. Some of you will remember seeing it on Ebay a few months ago.(The guy I sold it to sold it again)

That was a great playing guitar but not very practical to have around the house with a wife and two daughters present.

This is my current Roscoe:

The pic is hard to see from the glare but it is Jimi Hendrix playing a strat.
These were limited edition "Jimi" Roscoes and they are bad-ass.
I just bought it and can't wait to get my grubbies all over it. It's the first Roscoe I seen with a maple board too.

Click on my link in my post above, and check out my Roscoe 'Cheetah' at the bottom of the page. It will be the 2nd Roscoe you've seen with a maple board!

PS, congrats on your new Roscoe!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Funny you should ask Sully. I spoke with Keith Roscoe about that very issue as I had my suspisions the moment I layed my hands on the Traci Lords guitar.

Sure enought, he confirmed my belief. He had basically robbed a San Dimas pointy of it's neck dimentions and radius. It's like playing a 24 fret pointy head San Dimas. They are fast and comfortable to say the least-GREAT Neck!

BTW Mountaindog, Cool axe! I had a chance to bye the matchign bass to your guitar for $400 last year and got caught whiffin my nuts instead of laying down the cheddar. It was a very cool Bass and played VERY nice-Oops!

Not yet Sully. I'm still awaiting the arrival of this beast.

I always thought they had a cool headstock too. I'll post a pic when the guitars makes it's arrival.

I'm just about to iron out a deal on a skull and crossbones roscoe.Spoke to Kieth and he said they did one or two runs of the skull and crossbones he couldn't remember. The runs consisted of 24 guitars so there are either 24 or 48 skull and crossbones guitars.A little info on roscoes for ya!!!
