• Anyone know anything about these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=38082&rd=1

This really wasn't in my guitar plans but if I can get it at the minimum price, or pretty close to it, I'm thinking I may go ahead and snag it for pure curiosity's sake. I've never seen one before. I didn't even know Sammy had a signature model. I doubt that it sucks. It would definitely be something different and unique in the collection.

I don't know anything about that guitar.

If I was looking for a "Sammy Hagar" guitar, I'd grab a red Baretta personaly, like the "no-55" one I always seen him with.

Seems kinda pricey for a "Korean" Washburn. IMHO

The MR450 was made back in the late 90's in the US custom shop, which builds excellent quality guitars. They had a list price of $1,999 back then, and they feature a Duncan Jazz and a Duncan JB..........Hmmm, youre kinda lucky, because if I hadnt bought 3 guitars already this month, I would probobly grab that one......

As obvious by the last two posts that I truely know nothing about that guitar. Ignore what I said earlier. Thats a great price for ANYBODY'S custom shop guitar.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about the price for a US custom shop guitar. I'm a big enough Sammy fan, I'd probably hang on it to just for that. Plus, I've played on a couple of Washburns before. Seemed ok to me. This is probably a really nice guitar. Also, I don't own a semi-hollow body guitar. This may be the one.

Hhmm...I'm still thinking....

I've seen signature models of Sammy's in red and black, but never in that color. That's pretty cool!

Keep in mind that Washburn stuff has BRUTAL reslae value.

That said, it's really too bad as Washburn's Custom shop is as good as anybodies and ibet that is a KILLER guitar like the rest of the Custom shop stuff I've seen.

As long as you intent on keeping her for awhile I don't see you gettin hurt.

When I was at MGR we had a couple of those we got from Washburn as overstock. One in trans red with a quilt maple top and a trans amber w/quilt top. Both had a very unique tone. With the sound hole sbeing lower on the baught they sounded pretty good and had a nice airey tone to them. The necks are playable and relatively fast. Kind of like an old Hamer Studio if i remember correctly. The pups are great and add a smothness to the tone of the woods used. we sold them for about 600-700 as over stock new no warrenty as we werent a dealer but we baught thier over stocks all the time.
They are worth the price asking currently but i wouldnt go higher than 700. This one doesnt look like it has a quilt top either so that would make it lower list price too.

Well, I bid on it towards the end and got sniped at the very end! DOH! Oh well, no biggie, ya win some, ya lose some.

Has anyone dealt with Chris Guitars before? Is he a member here? I know I've seen that website before but I don't remember when or how. He's got a couple of interesting items on there. If he is just going to turn around and re-sell it, I may still be interested in it depending on how much more he wants for it.
