Ok, who here knows anything about Killer guitars? The ones that Akira Takasaki uses and were distributed by Roland over here for a while.
I cannot find anything on them on Ebay (try searching for "Killer" ) and Harmony Central only had one review of the RG-Prime, but when I emailed the guy to ask him some questions, I never got an answer.

Anyhoo, I found one on Ebay a while back, and when I received it, I thought it looked kinda odd compared to the pics at Killer's website - top horn is more rounded on the inside cut, pickup route goes to the trem cavity, a few other details.

Thinking of selling it but I wanna know if it's a horrible fake, a low end real deal, or a Custom Shop. There's no serial number anywhere, it had Schaller pickup rings (2 holes for the pickup mounting screws on one side) with unmarked covered pickups and one mounting hole on each side, and no trem. The post spacing is more narrow than an OFR as well. The neck pocket resembles an Ibanez AANJ.
It appears to be solid wood (not ply) but I could be mistooken.

Anyone have a catalog or know of a collector's website for these things?

Can't say - it didn't have a trem when I got it

The post spacing is 2 13/16" - is that an Ibenhad trem?

no sure...my snake has an edge on it and i had a yellow jackson with an edge...the holes were not re-drilled on either...so an edge should measure the same as a floyd...can't remember what killer guitars came with orig. but im pretty sure it wasn't an edge...d.m.

Newc,
I live in Tokyo and Killer Guitars are sold here EVERYWHERE!
I am under the impression that they are under ESP and are made in Japan.
(I could be wrong) But I notice that I can find a LOT of them especially on ESP stores.

anything/model you are looking for in particular?
I usually visit guitar shops during weekends and I cna take pictures of Killer guitars with prices for you if you want...

Re: Killer guitars

I've been to two sites so far with Killers on them - Killerguitars.com and killer.co.jp - but neither shows the model I have. In fact, they both have no info at all besides model names and artists.

Anyway, mine's 24 fret rosewood, whereas all the RG-Primes on both sites are 22 fret maple. The Floyd nut on mine was mounted behind the graphite nut, and the company sites show just the Floyd nut. Also, mine has no neckplate - just little plastic/metal bushings for the neck bolts like the Roswell has. Mine also has no serial number anywhere.
The knobs and the toggle switch are in the right place, but that's about it.

MegaMeta - thanks tons dude If you can find a catalog with some detailed info on the RG series (looks like a Warrior), I'd appreciate it.
