i am not a bc rich expert, but i am pretty sure the nj series is made overseas (in japan i think).

only guitars with a made in usa logo on the headstock is made in california.

All NJ guitars say NJ on the headstock. 80's models were made in Nagoya Japan (NJ), later ones in Korea or China. If it says made in USA on the headstock it is a made in USA guitar. It could be a class ax model but I doubt it. BC Rich made tons of USA bolt on Warlocks.

Re: BC Rich NJ Warlock! Serial List?

got pics most NJ bolt ons were 24fret not 22, also the headstocks were different shaped between USA & NJs. from what it sounds like its USA.
bolton USA Warlocks arent that common, NJ series guitars DO NOT always say NJ on the heastock, & there were custom NJs & they are almost idetical to the USA models but had different hardware & different shaped routes.

if its a USA bolton Warlock, it should have DimarzIo pickups, dunlop strap locks & a brass sheild plate in the control cavity & the control cavity should be done in 2 passes. the gotohs were usually used on imports but i have seen a few USA with gotohs. NJs also have a different shaped control route & will be routed & painted smooth like plastic & truss rod route at the headstock is not the same as USA necks. the neck plate doesnt have a letter'd prefix? thats kinda odd but i didnt pay too much attention to guitars they made after 88 or so.

j2379, I have never seen a NJ Rich that said Made in the Usa on the headstock. Is there such a thing?

JG you are correct but the problem with made in USA on the headstock logos are they were available for sale for a long time from a few sources. i know of at least 2 guitars that have been on ebay that were imports that people changed the neckplate & added a made in USA logo & did a good job of making them look like USA models. thats the major problem with BCRichs is that during buyouts & stuff alot of parts & hardware got sold off. between that & Ed there are way too many not so legit guitars out there.
