My first concern was for the tone - the pickup's a mile away from the saddles

damn! that's what we call a "briddle" pickup.

i do have to say that their necks REALLY aren't that bad. but man, that body is truly worthless on many levels. description is funny, tho...

Yeah, the AccuTUNE is a good Kahler copy. Other JB Players have the AccuTREM which is a cheap pot metal POS with cheap springs that stretch til the azz end of the trem hangs in the air.

I have a couple of JB Player Stratheads, one neckthrough, one bolt-neck. Both are solid wood bodies. The necks really are
quite decent, and the Strats and Tele I have have the athentic looking Strat and Tele headstock shapes. That's really the most appealing thing about 'em, which is why I don't like the later ones with the funky headstock shapes. Those are probably nicer because they have Floyd type trems instead of the Kahleroid trems, but they look goofy.

They're solid wood but I couldn't tell you what kind it is. I bought a body only as a project and put a real Kahler, pickup assembly and tuners on mine. The b!tch was cutting the pickguard to fit since there's no fretboard overhang for the pickguard to fit under. I didn't do the best job on that part but I used a Tiny Tim to do it!

The neck is narrower and thinner than my Model 6, and it feels just as good as the 6. For a cheapo Korean guitar I'm happy. It's fallen over a few times but still doesn't go out of tune, or I can not touch it for 2 months and it's still in tune. I wouldn't go more than say $150 for the real Strathead version, complete in excellent shape. It's still a JB Player, a decent beater in my book. It's not a guitar that comes with bragging rights. I like good mutts though!
