• Robin guitars

I managed to trade my way into a Robin at the guitar show this weekend. It's an '88 Medley, but I'm not sure what particular model. I think it's a Medley IV, and I'm actually pretty certain that it's the exact same guitar in the bottom review here: http://www.harmony-central.com/Guita...ley-IV-01.html

This thing is awesome. Easily the best playing bolt on I own. Probably has something to do with it having the BEST. NECK. EVER.

Are there any sites with info about Robins? I can't find anything at all.

They're still good. I was playing a Wrangler some this weekend and it felt pretty damn good. Those Rio Grande pickups they use now are excellent. Alan, one of their sales reps, stopped by the booth I was working and showed off a Savoy he was carrying around. Those things are ES-335 sized and the back and side are carved from ONE PIECE of mahogany.

Welcome to the world of Robin, one of the best kept secrets of excellent guitars out there (Roscoe is the other) beyond the Jackson/Charvels!

I've got 8 of them, including 3 that are pictured in the '92 catalog with their endorser, plus one that used to belong to Tim Kelly.

Enjoy the web sites! And give Dave Wintz the owner a call and tell him how awesome his guitar is!
