That's exactly what I'm talking about. That Bich and Warlock are killer. You got a perfect Warlock in my opinion. I love the old ones that had the reversed curved head stock with the R on the ball end of it. Your model 6 looks like it's seen a little use. Can't beat them for the price though. They are definitely players. Those Japanese Charvel's are what got me playing Jackson guitars.

Technically, there really isn't a BC Rich custom shop at all. It is all being farmed out to unknown luthiers. I waited over a month for a quote before going to GMW and having them make me a custom Gunslinger out of old BC Rich parts Lee has in stock. I'm sure it will be amazing and cost 1/2 the price.


Once Bernie Sr. died and Jr. took over it was all downhill. Bernie Jr. was too busy partying and his attitude was "if it is fukked, send it out and we'll deal with the warrenty later". Then he sold the company and alot of people with defective instruments were fukked. Bernie Jr., by the way, didn't always act like the legend he was made out to be. He did produce amazing instruments, no doubt, but he also pulled alot of shady crap. If they ran out of the high end hardware for the usa line, he had no problem substituting it with crap hardware meant for the import series and still charge full price. I love BC Rich's and will always be interested in acquiring more, but they are gonna be older ones and I'm gonna be real careful. You'd be way better off talking to LEE at GMW or Neal Moser himself. A moser guitar would be way closer to a B.C. Rich than anything coming out of the new Ohio facility.

My order has been in with Lee since March. He said it's going to take forever and a year but I'm sure it will be worth it.

The same thing is going on with the new USA Dean's which really aren't built by Dean Zelinsky but by a place called US Masters. The Dean Hardtails are being built by some shop in Northern California.

So now we have Dean's, BC Rich's, Jackson's and Charvel's all being built somewhere else in somebody elses "custom shop". It's a sad time indeed. Only the old originals for me.

Greg no doubt its kinda scary, IMO most of these comapny's all have kinda the same story too. make some awesome guitars, get bought out, changes good, bad & otherwise. now there just kinda lost in the shuffle. not saying that any of them make any crap now but they are not the same. BTW if U add Hamer to that lists those are basically THE guitars for me.

To me a lot of the tops they are using look close to NJ tops. At least in side by side pic comparisons. Maybe this coming NAMM in winter will gives us an idea of what's in store. But this past summer didn't have much in the way of USA stuff. Maybe it was due to the move.
