• My Fenders

I could not be more happier with both of them. I am however considering moving the Tele, and trying to find a US string thru Jackson, but we will see. Problem is the Texas special is just so perfect for anything, that I never play the Tele. I have read many stories of Fender QC not being so good on this board, but boy, I just havent experienced it.

Here's my pics, as I know how much everyone around here loves photos.

Very cool!! I really love that color blue on the Tele. I've got a 2001 USA Double Fat Strat hardtail that's an awesome player. The only issues are that there was a little glue on a couple of the frets that I scraped off, and a couple of the fret slots on the side of the neck could use some filler. Other than that, it sounds and plays great.

Thanks Toe, yeah the Tele is cool....but I have it for sale right now on Ebay. I will probably list it as well here, but I dont know how much interest a tele would bring here in the Shred zone.

I just dont find myself playing it at all, and right now, I want a prs. I played a Mcarty the other day, and I definitely dug it. Not to mention my Fat strat kicks with that invader in there, so I just dont have time or desire for the Tele.

          Ahh well, we will see.

              Re: My Fenders

You never know. Some people here are into Teles. I'm more of a Strat guy, but maybe one day I'll get a Tele to mess around with. I just sold a Dinky Reverse and bought a new amp, so I think I'm done with my GAS for awhile.

                          Re: My Fenders

You can find them if you look, most of the time those dealers don't even know what they have...they think MIJs are just cheap imports!

I've had 2 MIJ strats and 1 MIJ tele all were the comtemporary models (all from the E series). I have one now (E series 1984-86) also which I searched hard to get. IMO those were the best of the MIJs, and they're really quite good for Hard Rock as well. If they had jumbo frets and better neck access...if only

You can still mail order standard models from Fender Japan brand new, the fender forum can provide you with the link.
