Re: BC Rich help - questions.

You can use it to hook into a guitar synth (yuck) or the Roland VG system. It looks like a GK1, which is the old pickup, so the tracking wouldnt be the best, but on a VG8, I'm sure you wouldnt notice................

Good news. I looked at my GK2, and it looks the same length, so its most likely a GK2..........

to add to the confusion, I have a gunslinger with script logo, made in USA on the headstock, and a neck plate that says LA, California with a 4 digit serial. it's a great guitar, beat up and rather ugly but still great.
            GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

            and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I think that's a GK-1. Which is still a good synth pickup, but not as fast as the Gk2 from my understanding.

That was a smoking deal with the GK-1 That guitar may not be top of the line..but it looks to be ok.

If you ever want to unload that GK-1, please PM me. Thanks!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You know what, I might just do that. If the mod wasn't too invasive, and can be easily removed and turned back to stock, I will probably get rid of it. I'm interested in trying out a guitar synth, but I assume they're pretty expensive, and I have enough stuff to F**k around with anyway. I'll let you know.
                    Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

Re: BC Rich help - questions.

I have a GK-1 setup (G-707) and a GK-2 setup (VG8EX). But I'd like a spare GK-1 and they're rather difficult to come by just on their own. They usually are sold with the Gm-70's and I already have 2 of those.

You're more limited with the GK-1 and the old roland analog synths you would have to buy with this are still getting good money.
I bought my MIM Roland ready strat with a GK2a for 200.00 brand new!
You will spend at least that on the synth for a GK-1, provided it is a Gk-1 which it looks to be.

So, if you decide to remove it. Please do!
