Hey all, here's some pictures of my newest addition; A 1989 Carvin DC-145. It's a really great player, the action is really low, and no fret-buzz! I gotta say, Carvin does make some great guitars, esspecially for the price! I picked this baby up from eBay for 350 + shipping. You can't beat that for a high quality USA made guitar. Anywho, here's the pics!!

Sweet!! I've never seen a DC145 with standard body sides (though they still make them now like that). Back in the '80s they were usually rounded, Strat-type bodies that were different than their rounded body sides of today.
Pro-Fusion on this board was selling one in the same color not too long ago. http://www.jcfonline.com/cgi-bin/ult...;f=10;t=002678I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Re: Pics of my new DC-145
Yeah, I saw your new 145 on eBay and nearly had a fit! Exact same coloring as mine, but (as you can see in the pictures on the page Toejam linked to) mine has the rounded body sides that were standard on the 145 at that time, as well as the standard fretboard dots. That's a beauty! I'm only getting rid of my 145 because I got a USA Soloist and have to pay for it somehow.
The '88-91 Carvins really were the best stuff the company ever made, in my opinion. The newer ones are nice, but the neck profile is not quite as nice and the guitars sound 'thinner' now, somehow, in my experience. Plus, they are more conservative now and not as 'metal'!

Smokin dude!! I love Carvins. One of these days I am going to order a DC125. The only I don`t like about them is the just changed the headstock and made it even rounder, I wish they would offer the 1992 type or the one you have. Congrats-Jack.
