I played it once back when John Sprung owned it. I didn't plug it in though. I would estimate the weight at 15-18 pounds. It played like any other '57 Strat I have felt. The neck felt slightly earlier to me, more like a '56, perhaps because its roots went back some time as it took several attempts to make the body, the neck was made with the earlier shapers. However, it was COLD. A guitar warms up in your hands, this thing didn't warm up until I handled it for a few minutes.
