These guitars are made for hot chicks with bikini to play with.

                      Re: Armstrong "see-thru"

Hey....I'd been meaning to report back on the Dan Armstrong lucite guitar but I've been busy....

Anyway.....I'm really impressed. I can't quit playing this guitar both live & in the studio. Mine has the 12 pole humbucker which is kind of hard to find.

It sounds really thick & full with great sustain. Kind of similar to a Les Paul, but with this real throaty kind of edge to it. I'm really suprised by the warmth for a non-wood body.

It really does play well too. Neck width at the nut on mine is 1 5/8" which does feel a bit narrow but isn't hard to get used to. The non adjustable bridge does not seem like it will be a problem thus far.

The guitar does feel a bit heavy when playing live, but its really not much heavier than the average Les Paul. The weight just seems to be distributed differently.

Really a bad ass guitar overall.

Fender built this Strat out of Lucite back in 1957. Even the neck is Lucite! They only made one for exhibition shows.

Jim....I remember seeing that or reading a article about it. I heard the thing was no joke weight wise.

I'd actually like to see it and or hear it actually.
