Re: Members of the Dean Forum

How do you know it wasn't one of those 3 guys?

I see the temporary board back up, guess I was bigtime wrong, my bad. Still pissed about the backdooring of 77 00109, what a cool, cool guitar. I sure would have loved to see what it would have brought if the auction had stayed up.

The last time I checked on the that`77 it was alittle under $3000. I know it closed early and all the bids were erased. I saw it!

I may have seriously over-reacted on this one and did a poor job wording my first post. I don't want it to look like I'm accusing anyone of anything, just looks fishy. I really wanted to bid on that guitar. This backdoor bullshit really sucks!

Re: Members of the Dean Forum

Here's the link to the auction:

            Dean Z

As a Dean lover and Dean forum member, I too was watching this one. Not because I was gonna pony up that kind of cash for it, but because I was interested to see how high it would go. It was just under $3000 last I saw. Kinda cool to see a Dean approaching San Dimas prices, in my opinion.

Maybe you should email the seller, Greg. Maybe you'll get the true story. The seller seemed pretty forthcoming about why he was selling it. (And for you non-Dean forum members, it's because he saw another early Dean sell for almost a few thousand. And since he was trying to raise fundage to help him adopt, he decided to put his up for sale.)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Elliot or Dean. They're pretty big on getting the old stuff back in their hands. I wouldn't put it past them to give him a nice chunk of cash AND throw in a new USA Dean to "replace" the old one. That's what I'd do if I were them.
