    Need help on a Washburn V

    Anybody here know about older Washburns? This was brought to me for a restoration but I would like to know if it's even worth messing with before I put any time into it. It was supposedly purchased somewhere in the 80s. Were they US made or imports? Are they of any value? I know nothing about Washburns so any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Its an 83 import, and that model is low down on the totem pole. Its only worth about $100US to $150US..........

          Wow, it's cool to find that out. He was willing to dump 200 to 300 into it for a mild restoration. I told him I'd better check it out first. Thanks for the info bro.

              You should have considered this one, they are awesome, note the neck thru and cooler headstock

                  Oh yeah man, I had the A10V, which was kinda like an Explorer. Had a set neck, WonderBar...excellent axe. I sold it to Dave/Budman. That's probably one I should have kept. But...I say that all the time. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

                    Oh yeah man, I had the A10V, which was kinda like an Explorer. Had a set neck, WonderBar...excellent axe. I sold it to Dave/Budman. That's probably one I should have kept. But...I say that all the time. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

                              Its Res' V. If it was original it would be a good score, but thats a big mod, big enough that I wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole.........
