Hey guys. A friend of mine wants me to trade him my Gibson Les Paul Classic for an Ibanez RG3120 in mint condition, a new Digitech Whammy, a new Samson Wireless and Rock Discipline in DVD. What do you guys think about the trade? Is it a good one? Let me know.

Re: Trade Help
I would take that trade deal in a nanosecond.
The RG3120 listed for $1499.00
The cheapest they go for used is around $600.00
The Whammy pedal is good for at least $100.00 used
The Wireless is also good for around $75-$100.00 used
The video is probably around $25.00
Retail on all 4 items is probably close to $2000.00
The Ibanez RG3120 is a beautiful guitar loaded with excellent electronics and Dimarzio's. It is one of the nicest models they make. A real shredders/players guitar. Keep in mind that most guys around here hate Ibanez.

Re: Trade Help
JGCable, I didn't remember that most peeps here hate Ibanez, lol. Yeah. But the stuff he is giving me is all brand new, except for the guitar. He works at the music place and he told me he will give me all that stuff brand new, unopened. I want to try out the RG3120. It looks awesome, and has awesome features. Gibsons on the other hand hold their value relatively well. I don't think he was worrying about resale value of the Ibanez. I had one for a week once waiting for a case to come in so I could ship it. I thought it was a great playing and sounding guitar. I really like the Ibanez 5 way pickup selector config with the auto coil taps. Its hard to compare the 2 guitars because they are completely different. A mint Studio is only worth around $600.00 tops right? That is what the RG3120 has recently been selling for used. That would mean all the other stuff he is getting would be free. Sounds good to me.
