Re: Trade Help

Like I said before, I haven't had any cash offers to date. If someone traded a Soloist I'd probably trade it instead of having the RG3120. But no luck still.

Re: Trade Help

A Classic is worth much more although I still think it is a crap guitar and no where near the shredder that the Ibanez is.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">With all due respect JG.....I don't understand the above statement

I don't honestly see how the Ibanez can even be remotely compared to the Les Paul Classic, in terms of sound, quality, or parts/workmanship.

Agreed, Gibson has taken a nose dive since the 85' buyout, but it is still heads and shoulders above than Ibanez.

I think that would be a horrible trade, especially if he is looking for another USA made guitar (such as the Soloist).

Just my opinion....so don't spark up the flame-thrower just yet

It would be up on eBay but I don't have a sellers license and I don't have a credit card/bank account.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Maybe you can have someone sell it on Ebay for you? I definitely think you would be better off selling it (maybe not here) outright and then buying what you want w/ the cash. If what everyone says is true, you could pick up that same Ibanez for $600 and you should still have at least $400-500 as I think a Classic in excellent condition will get $1000 plus. The bottom line is if you're happy with the trade, then do it. If you don't need all the extra stuff, don't do it. Sell the Gibbo and buy your friends for a fair price.
The Classic is certainly worth more than the Ibanez although I would rather have the shredder instead of a Les Paul "lite".
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">What's a Les Paul "lite"? I thought the classic was basicaly the standard w/ the slim profile neck.

Edit*** you might also try the Les Paul forum for selling it.

I was going to put it on the LP Forum but now they're charging members to put stuff in the classifieds. I think it's the only forum doing that...

Go to Les Paul Forum here
http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/index.php

And how about Harmony Central?

It is usually easier to sell things at right places.
Such as Gibson Les Paul Forum for Gibson guitars, JCF for Jackson, Ibanez Jemsite for Ibanez and etc.
