Tell me whats so great about the Les Paul Classic, in terms of sound, quality, or parts/workmanship as compared to the Ibanez. Don't give me the basswood shit rap either because I ain't buying it. Wolfgangs are made of basswood and nobody complains how they sound. Basswood is fine as long as it is sealed and painted. It also is a great sounding wood when you direct mount pickups to it. The guitar has the finest Dimarzio's available. The electronics are outstanding. Ibanez necks have always been high quality. Their fit and finish is as good as any other bolt on. They even make a really nice case. The UV1000 is a beautiful case. Their high end locking trems are almost magical. They float perfectly and stay in tune under any conditions. Heck, almost every great shredder has played one at some point in their career. Some of the Ibanez pedals are referred to as the best pedals ever: The TS-9 Tube Screamer, The FL-9 yellow box Flanger, etc... What is is with some of you guys and Ibanez. If you want to talk about quality issues then lets talk Gibson and even Fender.
Hey, I don't even currently own an Ibanez but I will still defend them to end. Where is JiMosiTy when I need him!!!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hey, that's cool. Some guys dig Ibanez and some don't. Personaly, I don't. Never owned a "good one", I guess. I do believe there are better guitars out there, but that's just my opinion. Don't lump us all into the "I hate Ibanez becuse it's Ibanez" category. I've actualy owned and played them, just didn't care much for 'em and haven't had good luck. I think every manufacturer (including the dreaded Gibson) has some great products. I'd prefer a Gibson over an Ibanez any day of the week, but that's just me. I'd really prefer a Jackson over anybody, though.

Dinkyjacksonman, I think that is true. The pics I have are some pretty crappy ones. I'm waiting for a friend of mine to come by today to take some high-res. pics. I'll post them in the Classified when I get them.

I prefer Jacksons or Sandy's myself although my my players are the Carvin DC400's. Actually, my favorite guitar in my entire collection is a 1972 Gibson ES325TD. It's just the Ibanez bashing that gets to me. Thanks for the info on the maple necks Ray. I should have known that. Actually I did but I got so carried away in my rant that I had a brain fart.

I own an Ibanez, a les paul and multiple Jacksons. I like the older Ibanez's like the rg410 I have. for The $190 I paid for it, it plays close to the quality of a USA dinky. And there trem is probably the best floyd imatation ever.

You like Ibanez?
How about this?
My dedication to Joe Satriani.
How it plays?..nothing special and it is damn heavy!
Look carefully, it has Joe autograph on body.
