Re: Trade Help

Go to Les Paul Forum here
http://www.lespaulforum.com/forum/index.php

And how about Harmony Central?

It is usually easier to sell things at right places.
Such as Gibson Les Paul Forum for Gibson guitars, JCF for Jackson, Ibanez Jemsite for Ibanez and etc.

I don't honestly see how the Ibanez can even be remotely compared to the Les Paul Classic, in terms of sound, quality, or parts/workmanship.

Agreed, Gibson has taken a nose dive since the 85' buyout, but it is still heads and shoulders above than Ibanez.

I think that would be a horrible trade, especially if he is looking for another USA made guitar (such as the Soloist).

Just my opinion....so don't spark up the flame-thrower just yet

They are 2 completely different guitars. Sure, some guys can shred on Les Paul but most don't. I think that Ibanez gets an unfair bad rap around here. Sure, they have their junk models but the guitar in question is not one of them. Here is a short list of other NON-JUNK Ibenhads!!'
Universe
Prestige
Jem 777
Jem 7
The Japanese Sabers
The RG550.
The Reb Beach model
The JS1000
The old Artist.
The Icemen (the good ones)
Any Japanese RG
The USA made models (I forget the guys name Boone?)
One of my favorite shredders of all time is the S540QT. Nice thin Saber body, H/S/H, bound neck, 24 frets, great trem, great pickups and very comfortable with 24 frets. Beautiful Quilt top body too. I had a killer 1st year RG550DY too that was outstanding. It was the only year offered with a maple neck.

Tell me whats so great about the Les Paul Classic, in terms of sound, quality, or parts/workmanship as compared to the Ibanez. Don't give me the basswood shit rap either because I ain't buying it. Wolfgangs are made of basswood and nobody complains how they sound. Basswood is fine as long as it is sealed and painted. It also is a great sounding wood when you direct mount pickups to it. The guitar has the finest Dimarzio's available. The electronics are outstanding. Ibanez necks have always been high quality. Their fit and finish is as good as any other bolt on. They even make a really nice case. The UV1000 is a beautiful case. Their high end locking trems are almost magical. They float perfectly and stay in tune under any conditions. Heck, almost every great shredder has played one at some point in their career. Some of the Ibanez pedals are referred to as the best pedals ever: The TS-9 Tube Screamer, The FL-9 yellow box Flanger, etc... What is is with some of you guys and Ibanez. If you want to talk about quality issues then lets talk Gibson and even Fender.
Hey, I don't even currently own an Ibanez but I will still defend them to end. Where is JiMosiTy when I need him!!!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">So just out of curiousity would the Soloist for trade deal be a string thru or a floyded model?
and.. is this a straight up trade? or?

Well...I like them both, so no biggie really. Depends on what Soloist is and what condition, etc.

Re: Trade Help

JG, take it easy.
We don't want to get into about which is better or not.

They are 2 different guitar brands and they have their own things.

Anyway, So, posting ADs everywhere and still you can't sell?
It must be the problem of your crap pics of the guitar then

J/K.

Seriously, post a pic of your guitar here(or already in the classified category??).
Maybe you may want to sell it at lower price than what you are asking for.. but then it's better you trade your guitar for the Ibanez,Wah,Wireles and so on..
