You know what me too!! I was leary of Fender at first, but my confidence is growing about keeping the quality of Jackson alive after seeing the Fenders beeing made and also playing a few New ones recently. I just loved the Tom Delonge Strat(Mexican-not Squire) model. what a neck and very nice medium jumbo frets and the Invader crushed!! I wish they didn`t discontinue that model, I would buy one in early 2004, in Black or Yellow Hope they start them up again Maybe a custom shop one with set-neck and no pickgard, oh ya Jack.

Here is a page run by a Fender employee who has taken pics inside the factory showing how they make stuff over there. I figured some of you may enjoy it.

NEAT! Those dies are exactly like the ones we use to make the Firestone AirRide springs
See the dies with the little knob/cylinder on top? Those go in small presses and are clamped in by that cylinder (a clamping block bolts against it) but the larger ones (like the J-bass control plate die) would go in a larger press and are held by larger clamps on two sides of the top and bottom
Anyhoo, NEAT Maybe I can get a job as a tool & die man or press operator
Newc
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
