Re: Washburn N4 questions

I'll clue you in about Bob Willcutt he makes BIG money selling high end PRS and McIntruff(sp?) guitars he won't budge on his prices for used guitars. The dean derri air is priced way too high 350 max He wants 599.00 Its not mint I can tell you that. The red RR was an early ontario and very cool but in pretty sad shape cosmetically lots of buckle rash and finish cracks but a cool 18 volt active system. He tried to pass it off as a san dimas Jackson but I strightened him out on that. The schecters he has I think are parts guitars. He was an authorized schecter builder/dealer in the 80s.He does have some nice stuff but is a jerk when it comes to personality and customer care. And the staff there won't wait on you utill they get done talking to their girlfriend on the phone. And they treat you like they know every thing and you are an idiot.I used to go there looking for old floyd /kahler parts and to buy strings ETC.But when Bob Willcutt tried to charge me $20.00 for a $5.00 part and I said no he told me not to come back and I haven't.
If I were to buy anything from a Willcutt store I'd buy at his Richmond Ky store.A far cleaner place,a staff of people who care and will take care of you (the customer).Plus they Have Jacksons at the Richmond Ky store. Those guys rock.

That's too bad about Wilcutt. They have the best selection of Hamers I've seen.

I have to agree on the hamers they are nice. But I just can't bring myself to buy from a store that could care less if they sold you a guitar, and act like its a big pain to wait on the customer.
The Richmond Ky store Bob D.and Jamie E. go out of their way to make sure you get what you want.

Re: Washburn N4 questions

Flame tops and quilt tops were available as an option on custom orders from 92 on. They were put into regular production from 97 onward.........From 94 - 96 they also made a batch of them in regular production........

Re: Washburn N4 questions

The shop here in town has a '02 N4 relic.Pretty sweet looking and sounding guitar! It has a floyd and the pickups are a Bill Lawrence L-500 (bridge) and a Duncan 59 (neck). If it's still there after I buy Newc's KV,I may buy it !

Damn, there are too many sweet ass guitars out there!!
