Fender NAMM 2003 guitar question

Fender had these in their booth at the NAMM show last year, but I have yet to see one for sale.
Anybody know what the story is behind them?

Well, I guess THESE are what happens when you've got good old Mike Eldred running the Fender Custom Shop [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] LOL! From what I recall, these were just a one time deal. You can order them through the Custom Shop. I've got a nice Charvelized Strat [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

I would have thought Fender would have sold a billion of these. Too Bad.
I would have loved to seen these a production model.
But I guess that's what the Charvel line is for.

Ya, one of those in Yellow, a Mexi version of one would be nice to keep the price down, I would have bought one with a hardtail. That`s a shame they didn`t do something like that. Ya, I know they did the Tom Delonge thing, but man do I hate front loaded guitars with pickgaurds [img]graemlins/baby.gif[/img] Jack.

I'd do Warmoth for something like that. Here's mine, its a hardtail though, I'm just not big on trems.
