I think the Warmoth is cooler than the model 1 but whoever put a trussrod cover on a Strat headstock neck should be kicked in the face. [img]graemlins/images/icons/mad.gif[/img] If you keep it, please take that off immediately......Actually, do it right now! [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I'de keep it, i'de much rather have a walnut body than the Basswood model 1. Just I agree take off that trussrod cover.

I was thinking the same thing about the truss rod cover and took it off when I re-strung. But since it is a tilt back neck...it would be like taking the truss rod cover off of a Jackson or Charvel...there is basically a hole there.

My New Guitar!!! Keep or Sell?

OK, I'd like some opinions on this one. I picked it up locally on a trade with intentions of selling it...but it's really growing on me.

-Warmoth walnut body (I think it's walnut, that or black Korina?)
-Warmoth AAA birdseye maple/maple CBS Strat-head reverse neck. The cool thing here is that it's a tilt back neck. There is actually a scarf joint. The birdseye is so intense that you really have to look for the scarf joint.
-String through bridge
-Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in bridge
-Seymour Duncan '59 in neck
-Single Volume, three-way switch

If I keep this, I really need to sell another guitar to justify it...which would probably mean selling my pristine white Model 1 (I just got it so I'm not very attached). I'd like to be a collector, but family comes first. I think I could get much more for the Warmoth but...

This Warmoth plays awesome, the neck shape is a bit bigger than a Charvel Model Series. I think it may be a C-shape neck, which I've always kinda liked.

Keep or sell?
