At the price it really is a steal. Buy it and if you dont like it sell it. I had an 89 Custom 24 and it was a beautiful piece of art but I didn't like how it played at all. IMO or at least the way I see it is...If you're a Fender Strat guy you'll probably love it, if you're a Les Paul guy you might not like it as much as you'd hope you would. At least that was the case for me.
