There are no Hamer dealers in my area, so I am forced to look online. MF, ZZsounds, and music 123 don't sell them. ANyone know of an online dealere that does? Thanks!

Re: where to buy Hamers?
Try doing an online search for dealers. A lot of dealers have a web page with an e-mail address or phone number where you can contact them about mail-ordering guitars. I found a couple but have no idea what kind of shipping they charge.

Hmmm, MF did sell them at one time. I guess they don't any more. Though, I can't remember if it was just the imports or the USA line as well. Anyway, try the Hamer board. Re: where to buy Hamers?
I'm in chambersburg, Budman. I know about BCR in Lemoyne, but that is still like an hour drive from here. I don't know if I plan on buying one, just looking around. Are the imported Hamers nice? I can't justify spending the $$$ on a USA model since I only play in my living room. If the imports are crap, I'll move on to something else. I found the import standard (explorer) fro 349.95 at a store in MD. Any opinions on these?

Re: where to buy Hamers?
Yes BCR is great place but Triple R Guitar is a great one also. The guys are great and know their stuff as well. That's really the closest place I know near you. Sorry bro.

Re: where to buy Hamers?
I agree with Jerry FG, a used USA makes the most sense. I tried out a some of the imports a couple of years ago and found them to be very inconsistent. Many had obvious workmanship issues. Also, I'm not a big fan of those "Duncan-designed" pickups. Things may have improved since then, but if you buy one without playing it first it's a crapshoot. If you decide to buy online, make sure they have a good no-hassle return policy. I checked out Chris' Guitars to see if he had anything. No USA's at the moment, but he does have a nice looking import ST-1 for $299.

Re: where to buy Hamers?
DG,
Chris has quite a few USA's in stock but his prices are nothing to write home about.
This Diablo USA will end at $300 or less.. Like most superstrats, I think it looks like ass, but as far as tone, workmanship and playability you can't beat it at that price.
