Re: How long did your GMW w/ Graphic take?

Just so everyone knows the straight dirt. There is no hold on GMW orders. If anyone has questions about wait times or how long a certain guitar will take I suggest talking with Lee. Some guitars depending on graphics will take longer than others. Lee always gives you an idea on how long something will take and he does unreal work.

    GMW RULES!!!

I’ve read your concerns and complaints about wait and/or lead time to build or paint a custom guitar and I have to respond. Yes, we are very busy and we do build and paint a lot of guitars. Compared to a lot of other companies GMW really has a reasonable turn around time, in most cases. Some projects do take longer than others; it all depends on timing, workload and complexity of the project. Think about it - When ordering from GMW you are not ordering for a Major Guitar Company like Jackson or Fender where you have a crew of 50+ people to get 1 guitar out. GMW is really run by only 1 person (Lee) and DRL Graphic’s is only 1 person (Me) so with the 50+ hours a week we work (not that we BS at all ) we do our best to keep up. Like one of the threads mentioned I do work for other companies besides GMW, Jackson alone has me painting over 40+ production pieces a month, not counting custom shop orders; then there’s Fender & Ibenez. We are only human and I’m sure there has, and will continue to be, times that things may fall aside. Believe me I hear your concerns – but like the old saying goes “Good things come to those who wait”; I know that some of you would rather not wait – I take pride in my work and I want to produce the best quality graphic so it may take a little extra time….sometimes longer…. I realize that this can be discouraging and test anyone’s patience, but Quality is always better CRAP…..I’ll talk to Lee (GMW Guitars) and let him know your concerns as well. (No promises that the turn around will be any quicker in the future, as we are two separate people running two separate company’s)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Dan, great to hear from you and I look forward to one day having a guitar with your awesome work on it. I got a little excited last October when Lee asked me some questions regarding the specifics of the graphic on your behalf and I began to think I'd get it for Xmas. Not to worry though as I have told Lee, the wait is no fun but a top notch job is more important and I know I'll get this in the end.

      Thanx
