Re: PRS bolt-on vs. set neck
The biggest difference between a Custom set-neck and a CE bolt-on is that the Custom has a mahogany neck and the CE a maple neck, and this affects the guitar's tone significantly... The neck joint is the same for both instruments, just the Custom uses glue to hold the neck in place and the CE uses steel bolts and a plate, but the heels should be the same size between a CU24 and a CE24... As far as the trems are concerned, they are a very well built 6-screw trem with notches scored into the screws so that when everything is adjusted properly, they really hold their tuning. You can easily adjust them to float - mine does, and I have about 1½ tones up-bend. They're milled steel, not rolled, heavy, and solid... they work great
