• Heritage Shredders-Any Good?

I have found a NOS Heritage Super Strat, white body, Kahler Pro, H/S/S, Black hradware, either rosewood or Pao Ferro board, dots, alot of mini switches, set neck. Question, does anyone know what models they made of Super strats and what years? Is $500 a good price for one? I don`t know much about Heritage Shredders. Thanks-Jack.

Sounds like a Stat variant. Heritage arent shredders. No matter what they look like they play like an old Gibson. I have a Terminator, which is a really rare one, that was supposed to be an HM guitar. It plays more like a 335 than anything else........At $500 it isnt a whole lot of money, and they didnt make many guitars like that in great numbers. Sometimes they will go for nothing at all, and other times they will go through the roof..........You probobly wont lose on the deal, but if you decide to dump it, its not gonna go quick.......Kinda like the Destiny.......

Check out this ebay auction for relevant info. It is most likely made very well, so if it plays ok, I'd go after it for $500 if it is truly NOS. The serial number on a Heritage will tell you what year it was made...check their website for details.

That`s what it looks like, except all white with black hardware. I will think about it, as I can put it on layaway!! What are the necks like on them? If they are too thin, i will pass, as long as it isn`t Wizard or Widard 2 thin?

Necks are fairly thick like an old Gibson......But not like the baseball bat Gibson era........

I just checked the Heritage site and I found out in the discontinued model section that it is a H-160V, basically the Stat without the maple top, all mahogany, set-neck, not sure of it is a Kahler Pro or Flyer, I hope it is the USA Pro and not the Import Flyer, I will check some more!! Jack.

I believe Michael Angelo played Hertiage guitars for a while, so I wouldnt say they "arent shredders"

In fact, the models he played looked pretty damn sweet, although im sure fairly rare!

Re: Heritage Shredders-Any Good?

I dont remember him playing Heritage at all. In fact I think he wouldnt like the guitars at all. I remember he endorsed crappy "Tradition" or some such nonsence before he went to Dean, but he isnt exactly the kind of guy that fits in with the other Heritage endorsers........

They're probably nice guitars and all but I would think five bills is a tad high.
Be prepared to take a bath on it come sell time.

What should I offer for her with Hardcase? Also, does anyone know if these had the Pro or Flyer Kahler? Thanks-Jack.

I wouldn't go much over $300.

I dont think I have ever seen a Heritage with a Flyer. I guess they could exist, but all the Strats/Stats I've seen had Pros.....As for the price, yes he would laugh at you. What US made in limited quantity setneck guitar with a Kahler Pro can you buy for $300? You used to be able to pick up Gibson Qs for that little, but even they are rising, and they had the junky Flyer..........At $499, I'm sure he will eventually sell it, but like I said, they dont sell quick, but they do sell..........

Don`t get me wrong, I would love to pay $300, that would be killer!! Maybe I will offer in between those prices, like $400. He said he bought it off of a dealer that had it New for 13 years Man, I hope the neck isn`t bent and twisted. Jack.
