Left to right: 1983 Blueburst Z, 1982 Pinkburst Baby Z, 1986 Hollywood Z, 1982 Blueburst Z.

And here is what happens when the shipper doesn't know what they are doing, and they leave the trem bar on the guitar during shipment. Note the numerous dents in the body.

Those babies are so cute!!
Seriously, those are some very nice explorers.
How do you like the Kahler trem? Always thought that they kept as much sustain as a tune-o-matic bridge. Burst finishes are excellent
Classics!

Thanks much.

I like the Kahlers just fine...I actually prefer them to Floyds, and most of my Charvels are Kahler equipped. Just don't leave the bar on there when you ship it.

Dang, Dana, if you ever feel the need to lighten the collection and sell that pinkburst, I'm game. Shame about that blueburst, those Dean cases have alot of room in them, but not quite that much. I just resigned up on the Dean board today, I guess my old nick went inactive when the board was redone.

Hey Tom...glad you came back to the Dean board, bro'.

The story is weird on the pinkburst. I got the large headstock blueburst from another Dean member, and I was in the process of trying to buy this pinkburst from him as well, when he died. His wife sold it to another board member who had no idea I wanted it. After a few months, I raised the issue with him, and he was cool enough to sell it to me since I had already been trying to acquire before him. Anyway, I'm not likely to ever sell that one. It's a very rare color, and my wife loves it, too.

Yeah, it was the guy who traded for my red Marshall. That's how I got the large headstock Z. His screen name was Dimond Dean Carlo, and he had just changed it to Mr. Jimmy when he died.

Hey Guitarforce, I was looking at that 83 on Ebay. I almost went for it, but the finish wear put me off. How does she play?

All you need is a full size Pinkburst Z and maybe a large series 2 size headstock Blueburst Z.

HOLY SHIT a RedBear stack!!!

I scored a 120 watt head I stumbled upon on ebay a couple of years back for $203 I believe. It was missing the logo and the seller had no idea what it was, I think it was listed as "lead tube amplifier head 120 watts".

Very cool amp. I loved the whole russian vibe and the metal tones. I eventually sold it because I got a VHT.

Oh, very cool man!! You are the only other person I've come across yet who has had a Red Bear, or even knows what one is. I love mine! It's the 60-watt version. You'll never believe what I paid for the entire half-stack, including the 30-watt Celestion loaded cab. $200! And it's in GREAT condition! Got it from a Dean forum member. Real cool guy...but I still don't know why he sold it so cheap.
