These may be great guitars, no doubt. (Although I hate the headstocks and the enourmous electronics cavity, read:Warmoth)

I still think that it is a cheap, no talent idea to call these guitars San Dimas, and futilely attempt to capitalize on Charvel's mystique. I wish Lloyd all the success, but he should have come up with an original name and idea for this venture. He even blatantly copied the neckplate style and leads you to believe these are built in CA? Are they? Or is that just another lame attempt to tie in to the Charvel/Jackson coattails...

        Anyways... back to the guitars...

        Here's a closeup of the 3-piece neck:

How about a shot of the side of one of the snakeskin graphics... I liked how it's 'stretched' from the sides. Kinda like the belly scales on a snake.

Here's a good shot of a brass trem:

And a shot of it from the back.. check out how big the block is.

A pic of the Mighty Will (Zamiale) ripping on Pablo Diablo:

And a back shot of the headstock/tuners:

I'll give em credit, that 3 piece neck is a great idea, which more manufacturers should use. You almost never see it on a bolt on, although Gibson (and Jackson) have been using it for years on their set neck and neck throughs, respectively. Also, the reproduction brass trems look very accurate, as do the tuners. Obviously a lot of thought went into getting these guitars right, down to the last detail. I also dig the stretched snakeskin graphic, although the extremely cliche' tribal graphic ruins it. I have a fantastic idea for a headstock, and I'm going to photoshop a likeness of it to Lloyd, and it won't be any tm infringement!

BTW, the devil on the Pablo is the "Coop Devil" by artist Chris Cooper, better known as "Coop".

He's got some great art, you should do a google search and check him out. He is a dedicated Satanist and good friend with Gibby Haines from the butthole surfers.

What's the real point in the "San Dimas" guitar line?

                    Good luck.

I just got around to reading this thread. I do not have the technical expertise that Pete has, but I must say that I would be hard pressed to find a more overall balanced guitar. By balanced I mean playability, graphics, workmanship, and overall quality. Bottom line: Do knock them till you've played them. The best way I can show the board that this isn't just another Joe Smedlock the ragman guitar maker is put my money where my mouth is. After I pay off my customshop KE1, the next guitar I buy will be a SanDimas.

Thats EXACTLY like an early/mid 90's Alvarez
                              electric headstock.
