My GMP update...

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I placed a custom order for a GMP Xplorer.

No, it is not done but check out the pictures the dealer (http://www.wildwestguitars.com) sent me!!! How's that for keeping me informed:

Hey Man!! Long Time no talk.. I was so sick last week. It's gonna have the classic GMP headstock design that most people don't like on an explorer. I do like it, at least better than the Gibson banana ( I think Deans have the best explorer headstock). Also, I am having the headstock painted to match the body's hotrod flames and the comps look really cool!

Hot damn, that's gonna be cool.
I see GMP are in the 1000's now in serial numbers. They don't churn out guitars like the big boys, thats for sure!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">they're actually doing that now. they put it on a disc and send them to you with the guitar.

Hey.. don't sweat it!! That's what it's all about! It is an undescribely good feeling to see a guitar at that stage of production and know that it's gonna be the dream guitar you planned out a month before!

Toejam... Wow.. I am impressed with your Memory!!

No... The GMP is gonna have a Duncan SH5 Custom in the bridge and a Duncan 59' in the neck.


My current custom order with GMW is gonna have the Dimarzio Super 2/3 combo. (BTW, it is a Neck Thru Flying V that Lee refers to as the Gibson Killer. It's gonna be insane. Lee was telling me how excited he is to make it, because it will probably be the nicest V GMW has ever made).

You are gonna love your Explorer. I have a Purple Sparkle with Silver/Smoke flames and a matching headstock.
