Does anyone else here have an old Aria Pro II? I pulled my Aria Pro II RS Knight Warrior out for the first time in years. I tuned it and man that thing played great. The battery for the EMG 81 was still alive. I forgot how well built this thing was. It has a kahler flyer, the knobs look just like the ones on my SD strathead.

Re: Aria Pro II
> My first decent guitar was a ZZ Deluxe, candy red with that ACT III cheesy Floyd copy. I put it away and sold it cheap when I got my first Model 5. It played nice, and was built like a tank, except for fairly cheesy hardware. Re: Aria Pro II
I remember Yngwie Malmsteen posing with an Aria Pro II back in the days. A white strat thingie if i recall correctly. I'd like to see a pic of that again
My big brother still has an old 80's Aria Pro II Les Paul in red sunburst hanging on his wall. It always played like crap but the finish was great.

Re: Aria Pro II
George has one in the "Into the fire" video! Black with skull and bones pickguard. I had one way back for quite a while and I thought it was a great axe. I had no complaints. There's actually a ZZ deluxe for sale close by for like 70.00, I was thinking of picking it up.

Re: Aria Pro II
Aria Pro II made great guitars back when they were built in Japan at the Matsumoku factory. I have 3 of the Cardinal series guitars, and they are my main players. There was a really cool Inazuma V (not V shaped if you're wondering) for sale on Ebay last year. It was yellow and black zebra striped, in the original hardshell case with a pile of new string, and 3 pedals, and it was dead mint. It looked like it had never been played, and it went for $250. If I'd had the money at the time I woulda bought it.
Sometime in the late 80's the Matsumoku factory shut down, and Aria guitars turned into piles of shit.

Re: Aria Pro II
I used to have a black and white ZZ I bought in France or Spain when I was in the Marines back in '84 or '85 I think. It was pretty nice but I sold it to another jar head before we even got home.Scott

There's a kinda Star-shaped Aria in the local pawn....for $299... I think it's Japanese.
Here's another Rathole link. This one's actually better because it has links on all the specific models.
