Got my Les Paul yesterday. It's a Musician's Fiend exclusive "Vintage Mahogany" Studio model. It's got the worn cherry finish, mahogany body/neck, carved mahogany top. It's got no clear coat on it. Or maybe it's just a clear matte satin finish? It sounds and plays very nice, it's relatively lightweight, doesn't sound too dark, and the new Burstbucker V pickups sound pretty cool, on the vintage side, not sure if I'll change them or not yet. The fretwork is nice, maybe a tiny bit of glue on the fingerboard, and the rosewood board was also a little dry and light until I put some lemon oil on it. Overall, I think it's a pretty good value for $899, since it's about $250 or so cheaper than a regular Studio with maple cap.
