• It's coming, it's coming!!!!

My GMW that is. I'm sooooo excited. It's been 19mths now and Lee has informed me that Dan has finished the grapic and we are in the last few weeks of clearcoating/drying then setup and shipment. I CANNOT wait to get this guitar. Trust me it is gonna be awesome, that's all I can say. Just wanted to give you all a heads up to get the drool glands working overtime when I post pics. I also can't wait to do gigs with this baby and see what people say when they see a guitar like that in Canberra.

No specs, but I'll tell you it's a Dinky shaped body. I went all out on the options on this one.

You're excited? You're excited? I'll have you know I've had wood about this particular guitar since before I ordered it, which is about two years now. Now who's lauging? Certainly not me, my dick hurts like HELL!!!!

This last bit of waiting is going to hurt the most so I may as well spread it around. Don't worry though, we all know it will be worth it and you'll have nice pics to keep you happy.

                  Re: It\'s coming, it\'s coming!!!!

Yes, a Dinky but both neck and body had to be custom made by Lee, parts like them weren't hanging around. I want to see it too. I know what it looks like in my mind, but that's not good enough any more.

                    Re: It\'s coming, it\'s coming!!!!

                    Gene,

Congrats. Don't get your hopes up too much though. Lee usually calls me when mine are ready for clearcoat and setup, and this stage of development can take months in itself at GMW.

By the way, I know how things work at GMW and I can assure the entire 19 months was waiting for Dan. (not that I'm complaining, it takes time for good art ). I just wanted to point out that the custom body and neck probably added almost no build time. I've had custom bodies and necks cut in the past, and as long as Dan wasn't involved got them super fast. In fact, I am having a custom body and neck cut as we speak.

Anyway, can't wait to see it when it is done. keep us informed.

No, nooooooooooooooooooooo.....it's only weeks now, only a few weeks I tell you!!!!...

Yes, I know the big part of the wait was for the graphic. The body and neck have been ready for a while, but finally the graphic is done. Lee can't keep me waiting now, he just can't!!!!!.......ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not definite, but possible. When they called about my bengal, it was ready in 2 weeks. When they called about my Camo Gunslinger, I waited about 2 months. But as you know, it's worth the wait!

I don't know it's worth the wait, yet. But that's why I ordered one when I had the chance, to experience a GMW custom for myself. I know it will be good though, yeah baby!!! It has to travel a few thousand miles to get here as well, but planes are fast. This is the first GMW to go to Australia so far.

                            Can't wait to see pics.

ps. still can't believe it's taken this long, I hope the paintwork is all that and a bag of chips.

Deviltronix could be right, Gene. I once waited months for a neck to get clearcoated by Lee. And it was otherwise a fairly standard probably-in-stock pointyhead neck.

Hope for the best, expect the worst. Either way, it'll be worth it in the end anyway, though.
