    A new World Record: Most holes in a headstock

    I popped for a pawn shop special recently. Chandler pointy maple/maple neck, with a Chandler one hum body with the SD type electronics route. Crappy home re-fin, but with both covers intact. Had a v-trem, modded to Floyd with a Kahler locknut. I was curious about the ultra-cool "custom" square truss cover...until I took it off! Upon closer inspection, I counted 19 holes in this one including one that goes all the way through! Looks like I got me another project.... [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

        You should see the world class routing job in the spring cavity, (most likely done with a chisel) as well as where the trem drops through the body. [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

            A little wood filler and some paint and she will be good to go.I have 4 of those M/M chandler necks.Look and feel good to me,great for mutt projects.I have 1 with an thick ebony board no inlays that I'm itching to put on someting.Thats a cool score and going to be a cool project.
