<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">'cuz they're made in Korea. I have the GT Esquire - after about a half hour of tweaking the setup it is a kickass guitar.

I was in awe when I saw them in the last pages of the MF catalog so cheap. I haven't seen one in person yet, but they look like really nice guitars. They have a bunch of different set neck models, and the Teles witht he racing stripes look pretty cool.

I just received my hardtail Celtic Showmaster H last week. I was in awe ! Fit / finish / fretwork are awesome ! The set neck carve on this is also very reminicent of a neck-thru design - not at all what I expected for the price.

If I wasn't having the $ issues I would definitely grab a couple more at this price.

Kremit, re: that pickup that's in it - what would you compare it to? What type of sound does that thing give?

^ It's been a while since I've played on anything but EMG's. The best I can recollect the Fender pup is kinda like a JB with the mid/high bite but is quite bassy also. Surprisingly little muddiness too. Honestly, I may not change this one out. For a bridge hum, has a nice glassy tone when played clean.

Gonna have to give it some time and see if I really like the difference, though.
