I bought the USA Custom "Necromancer's Castle" graphic one off of Evilbay about a year ago,I think the guy was in Ohio? and I've had the Root Beer Jem (re-painted Nu-Grape Purple by GMW) since '88

Looks like a Washburn headstock. Plus it looks like it has a crackle finish. Washburn was all about crackle finish in the 80s. I vote for Washburn.

Thanks, it's one of the first 250 ever made of any model, serial number 8-0131 (131'st made in 1978)It's a "Pre-Sustain Block" model too which are very hard to find these days. It's got a rosewood shim under the bridge. here's a better pic:

that silverburst LP is sweet; is that a gibson? (hard to make out headstock)
