Alright, I'm looking to get an LP style guitar. Basically I want a nice looking, dual HB fixed bridge type axe. I'm looking at possibly the Epi's, Hamer imports, DEAN Evo's, etc. I don't want to go through the trouble of finding a 20 year old Ibanez copy or anything like that. My main concern is build quality and playability (has to be nice looking too). I don't mind upgrading pups or something like that. I also don't want to spend a fortune, as I am not a professional musician. Suggestions? I also know how to do setups and the like. Let 'em fly...

Re: LP cpies again....
I have a Greco Les Paul Custom from 1990 and I love this guitar. It's the best I have ever played.
Last week i went to Samash and tried their low end Gibson's and my guitar kicked all theirs.
It even felt better then the Higher end ones too.
I got this guitar for 350$ +120 shipping from Japan.
If i were ever to get another LP, or SG copy, it would prolly be a Greco

The Burny, Greco and Tokai copies are supposed to be great guitars for the money. This is a "The Samick" I picked up off ebay a few years ago. It has since been upgraded with new hardware and pickups. Looks like mahogany in the pickup routes. Set neck, binding, etc.Scott

Re: LP cpies again....
Ok, I was checking out the EPi les pauls at GC today, and noticed that some of them are being made in China (Also noticed a bunch of Ibanezes being made there too). Are the Chinese factories up to par with the decent Korean made stuff coming out these days?
Also saw a near mint Charvel 375, Desert Crackle finish for 400....difficult to leave without it.

Re: LP cpies again....
If you run across one of the "Canadian Market" Dillions.. don't shrug it off without taking a closer look.
They aren't the ones on the Dillion Website.
These are "lawsuit" style.
They're made in Korea, but these ones are the top line, real, honest MAH.. VERY heavy, nice frets.
I picked one up and enjoyed it.
Look for "MikesMusic" on Ebay, he gets them in.
He currently has 3 pup white or black beauties that are absolutley killer.
I 've played one in person.. really nice...
Oh, and if accuracy isn't that important... Music Yo has a very pretty Kramer labeled LP style axe with Trans black quilt top and abalone binding.

Re: LP cpies again....
Don't mean to sound like a broken record on the subject but Agile is making some pretty killer LP copies. They are taking pre-orders for the AL3000 right now (check the specs - awesome !) They still have some of the 2500 series (what I have) at some crazy prices. Nice guitars for the money - made in one of the better Korean plants.

Re: LP cpies again....
I just (Finally) got an e-bay account and I want a good LP copy just to play at home so whats a fair price for a Greco, Tokai or Oriville in good to mint condition? I see they very from 255-800. I lost a nice black beauty copy (Set neck) it went for 255. I bid 250 damn it!
Also found this one selling as a LP but look at the back of the headstalk...
What do you think it really is? Looks like it was an Aria head.
