  • GMW neck question?

Hi guys, I know alot of you guys are very proud owners of GMW guitars which are undoubtely very fine well made guitars and would like to know a question regarding their strat necks with the rear skunk stripe. Do these necks have separate fingerboards and the skunk stripe milled into the back for aesthetic reasons or are they made like a Fender out of 1 solid piece of maple and the rear skunk stripe is milled out and the truss rod fitted from the rear???? I was looking at Wayne Guitars site and he is apparently working on Warren DiMartini's maple neck but he has a separate fingerboard and the skunk stripe can only be for looks only. I know they are both different companies but I guess the way Wayne do theirs might not be how GMW do theirs. I am puzzled and if anyone can clarify this I would love to hear. Kammo1

    Re: GMW neck question?

The maple/maples necks are all one piece. The stratheads with rosewood or ebony board are of course two pieces. The GMW necks are made from original Charvel templates.

Both my Maple board and Ebony board necks have the skunk stripe.
