Hey all!
Just wanted to know if anyone remembers these and any info would be appreciated. The OFR has me wondering, as do the pups. Searched around, but no true facts! [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] Can get one for WAY cheap for parts(maybe)! Thanx guys!

I think it is old school.Star indeed.It is big! Not too much time to check it out, but it has this (sort of) cool trans red finish. From what I have learned; the OFR is original and a
"crap" version at that. Again, it would only be for parts!?!?

I owned one in the late 80's, early 90's ...I am still kicking myself for letting it go !!!

That is funny that you say that D.M.! After looking at that vintage guitar website,I am thinking about keeping it like it is. I will get it and if I do not like it, I will take your advice and probably put in the classifieds.Not
sure what they actually go for though.(no case)
I am pretty sure it is a pointy head.The one I am getting has the h/h/h pup configuration.

Sounds like you have one of the later versions with real long super pointy points. Kramer also made a Focus 5000 with those points and the three hums. What does it say on the headstock?

If I remember correctly, it says Kramer on the headstock and Voyager on the truss rod cover. I want to say it says something else next to or under Kramer. I will go look at it again tomorrow if I can.

Kramer never made a pointy head Voyager. Post pics when you get it. If the body shape is like what was posted above, it has Shaller pickups. If it's the bigger, longer more pointy guitar with 3 hums, it's an 85 with 3 Seymour Duncans. That guitar should have a banana EVH-style headstock.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">My cousin has one of those: long sucker, 3 pups, banana head.

Here is a crappy pic of it:



He bought it new. The finish is an awesome candy apple blue, but it doesn't show for shit in the pic.

I'd love to pick one of these up, one of these days.
