• Warmoth project finally finished

Finally I got this done, this thing has the easiest action of any gutiar I've ever played. I'd say with the thick clearcoat on it, it's too easy and will take some getting used to, never thought I'd have a guitar that played too smoothly. I', not sold on the EMG 85/60 in this guitar, despite all the maple it's pretty bassy and could use a little more bite. I'm thinking of going with a Herc/PG combo.

Soloist mahogany body
string thru hardtail
flat top spalted maple cap
Black body binding
Neck pocket contour
Birdseye maple/Birdseye maple 24.75 scale neck
22 true jumbo frets
EMG 85/60
Hipshot bridge
Sperzel tuners

Nice work! Clean, simple and elegant. I really like the unique maple neck with no fret markers, and I like the look of the Dinky-style body with the Strat-style headstock.

That guitar looks great. Did you do the finish or did Warmoth?

Warmoth makes great stuff.

Warmoth shot it with clear coat, that's all. No dyes or anything.

Wow... That guitar looks awesome. Very nice work.. If you mind me asking, how much did it take you to for the parts / to put it together?

In the end it set me back around $1200. But I got to pick my woods, specs, everything.

very nice! I'm not a huge fan of spalted wood in general, but I think it looks great there

Re: Warmoth project finally finished

I had a Warmoth Strat put together last year and it's absolutely top notch. If you guys have not experienced a Warmoth product, do yourself a favor and try one out. I allowed Warmoth to do all the finish work and their attention to detail will rival any custom shop guitar on the market.

Damn, what's up with that? I can click on them and the pics come right up. It may have to do with my host. I guess you get what you pay for.

Henrik, that worked bro. Thanks!

Germandeth, the reason the pics work for you is because they are already in your browsers cache. If you clicked on them from someone elses PC, you'd get the same result as me bro. It has something to do with the host not allowing direct linking. That's a beautiful guitar you have there! Both of you!
